THE GWATKIN RINKS

We had an amazing turnout for the presentation that was held on the 30 August 2025 for long standing members Frank and Ros Gwatkin.

Frank was part of the team that set up our new Dorchester Bowls Club at Sandringham Sports Centre following the move from our previous home at the Borough Gardens.

They have been a huge part of the Club's success.

Frank has held numerous officer positions and was the new Club's secretary for many years and was also the President in the Club's centenary year.

Frank set up the Club's coaching programme which has brought through so many new members.

They both worked to introduce a junior coaching programme which has been very successful in bringing through many of the players who represent the Club today.

To honour them both the Club have named rinks 4,5 and 6 as the GWATKIN RINKS in recognition of all they have done for our Club.
