Fantastic news from the World Singles qualifier at Newport with Martin Puckett winning the competition to take his place in the World Singles at Potters.
The Newport qualifier was completed late night  Sunday 26 October 2025 with Martin Puckett successfully booking his spot at Potters Resorts in the Ambassador Cruise Line World Singles in January 2026.  Martin defeated Lucy Smith, Ryan Boots, Ben Harris, John Roberts, Sam Tolchard and then Emily Kernick in the final. We wish Martin the best of luck at Potters where he will meet Wayne Willgress in the first round of the competition.

A huge congratulations to Hannah Edwards who has been selected for an under 18 England Squad Day.  This is very well deserved for all the hard work she has put into her game.  The squad day takes place at St Neots IBC on Sunday 9 November 2025 at 11:30.

Our local MP Mr. Edward Morello paid the club a visit yesterday Friday 3rd October 2025. He came to see our facilities. It was clear to him that we are a great community asset with members from 8yrs to 90yrs.  Mr. Morello is pictured above with the Club President Maureen Jones.

A great effort from Dorchester Dynamos our Fantastic 5s team Debbie Talbot, Vicki Edwards, Jamie Watkiss, Ryan Nash and Martin Puckett who sadly finished runners up by 1 point in the Finals round robin on Sunday 21 September 2025 at Melton Mowbray.  Well played to you all and to all of the squad who played in the team throughout the competition and to Jamie who has done a great job organising the team.

The Club President's day took place on Sunday 13 July2025.  A fantastic day was had by all both indoors and outdoors for our Presidents Day.  It's was 60s dress and there were some amazing outfits.  The day raised £374 for our presidents charity Dementia UK.  Well done all on a superb day see photos in the gallery.

In the County Cup Dorchester Men beat Portland Victoria to make the semi-finals where they will face Shaftesbury on Friday 8 August 2025.

Revised Dress Code

Dorchester Bowls Club revised dress code from 1 June 2022 is now detailed on the Dress Code page.

Dorchester Bowls Club is a premier bowls club in Dorset and has a reputation for giving a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors as well as past and present members. It is located at the Sandringham Sports Centre off Armada Way in Dorchester, only eight miles from Dorset's Jurassic Coast. The Club provides six indoor rinks and an outside green which can accommodate up to eight rinks.
