President's Day 2023

Dorchester Bowls Club’s annual Presidents Day event took place on Saturday 19 August 2023 and attracted around ninety members – players, spectators and helpers – who all enjoyed an afternoon of friendly, yet competitive bowling on a lovely summer’s day. The bowls was followed by a tasty barbecue (thank you Joyce!) and various fund-rasing activities. The main purpose of the President’s Day, along with celebrating another enjoyable year of bowls, is to raise funds for the President’s chosen charity. President Bryan Tucker has chosen Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance as this year’s beneficiary and Bryan was delighted with the £535 raised for this life-saving charity. The Club’s thanks go to Dorchester Timber who sponsored this event which added to both the enjoyment and the fund-raising.
