Open Singles Circuit

Dorchester is due to host Open Singles Circuit event sponsored by Concorde Flooring, Ceilings and Partitions on the weekend 17-18 April 2022. Where 64 of the top bowlers in the country (including Dorchester's own Martin Puckett 2022 National Men's Singles Champion) will compete for large cash prizes. Entries available via the EIBA website

We need 8-10 volunteer markers to mark the first games on Sunday and Monday. Sunday from 11am and Monday from 8:30am. After each game, the losing player will mark their opponent's next game so it's only the first set of matches which need covering. Then you can relax and watch the rest of the action.

Also on Monday afternoon we will need 7 markers to mark from the quarter finals onwards.

The job of marker is simply to center the jack, answer the bowler's questions and record the score. No measuring is needed - this will be handled by umpires. So anyone who has marked a club competition will be able to do this.

One advantage of marking is you get the best view of the game!

Please contact Martin Puckett or Darren Nutman to offer your services.

Members will be free to come and watch, the bar and Joyce will be open, so put the dates in your diary.

Any assistance you can give will be a great help in making this weekend a success.
