Outdoor County Competitions 2024

Well done to Sue Jennings who has qualified for the National finals for the 2 Wood Singles. In the Bowls Dorset Ladies' 2 Wood Singles Quarter finals she beat Jenny Blake and then beat Sally Rowe (Broadstone Wessex) in the Semi finals. She will now play Millie (Poole Park) in the final.

Well done to Hilary Wilson, Sue Jennings, Val Cornick and Jenny Blake who qualified for the Bowls Dorset Ladies' 2 Wood Singles Quarter and Semi Finals to be played Sunday 14th July at Branksome Park BC.

Well done to Hilary Wilson who qualified for the Bowls Dorset Ladies' 4 Wood Singles Quarter and Semi Finals to be played Saturday 13th July at Sherborne BC. Unfortunately Hilary lost in the Quarter final to Bridget Hodder (Poole Park).

In the Women's Top Club Dorchester B lost to Poole Park in the Area Final. Details can be found on the Bowls England website.

In the Ladies County Triples Val Wright, Barbara Smith and Val Cornick beat L.Craddock, L Kennedy, J.Willcox (Bridport) in the quarter finals at Lyme Regis on the 22 June 2024. In the semi finals the also beat A.Allman, H.Dowling, P.Weech (Lyme Regis) and qualify for the National Finals at Leamington Spa in August. Details can be found on the Bowls Dorset website.

Well done to Dorchester B who beat Sherborne in the Women's Top Club 75-68 and will now play Poole Park in the Area Final. Details can be found on the Bowls England website.

In the Ladies County Fours Sue Lofthouse, Judith King, Barbara Smith and Val Cornick lost to L.Murray (Sherborne) in the quarter finals at Bridport on the 18 May 2024. Details can be found on the Bowls Dorset website.

Bowls Dorset County Finals Weekend 2023

The Bowls Dorset Finals Weekend took place across the weekend 22/23 July 2023 at Dorchester BC.

Congratulations to Val Cornick winning the Bowls Dorset Ladies 2 Wood Singles and qualifying for the National Finals at Leamington.

The club has numerous entries in the Bowls Dorset county competitions, a number of which lead on to the National Finals at Leamington Spa.
