On 2 August 2026 Dorchester BC hosted the inaugural Peter Clarke Trophy Open Drawn Pairs Competition. The day saw 40 bowlers battling it out on the green in 4 groups of 5 pairs playing each other over 6 ends of 3 wood pairs. Followed by the 4 group winners playing semifinals and then the final.
The 4 group winners were:-
Group A – Graham Cockett and Val Cornick
Group B – Warwick Brown and James Roe
Group C – Bill Ford and Dave Bonnett
Group D – Mike Brown and Martin Puckett
In the first semi-final Warwick Brown and James Roe beat Bill Ford and Dave Bonnett and in the second Mike Brown and Martin Puckett beat Graham Cockett and Val Cornick.
In the final Warwick Brown and James Roe beat Mike Brown and Martin Puckett to become the inaugural Peter Clarke Trophy Open Drawn Pairs Champions. The winners and runners-up are pictured below with other photos from the day
