Indoor Open Day

Following a very successful Indoor Open Day we would like to thank all those who came and gave it ago we hope you all enjoyed it.

We had over 70 people through the door which was superb.

Indoor Bowls Open Day 16 September 2023

Dorchester Bowls are delighted to announce an Indoor Bowls Open Day at the club. It will take place on Saturday 16 September 2023 starting at 09:30 am and ending at 2 pm.We would like to invite people to come along to try indoor bowling and see our excellent club facilities. Our experienced coaches will be on hand to give you a taster session. Absolutely no previous experience is required, however proficient bowlers are more than welcome.

The Indoor Open Day on Saturday 4 February 2023 was a really big success. Thanks to everyone for promoting our club and as you will see we had a great turnout of over 100 people between 9.30 am and 14.00. We had 103 visitors and some 60 of them are coming to our 5 week beginners coaching starting on Wednesday 8 February and Saturday 11 February.

Breakdown for our beginners’ sessions starting Wednesday evening 8 February 21 potential new bowlers, Saturday 9.30 am 11 February 22 potential new bowlers, Saturday 11.30 am 11 February 17 potential new bowlers and Saturday 11.30 am 11 February 6 juniors. Also 4 people joined on the day.

These facilities were recently enhanced by the installation of a state-of-the-art fresh air ventilation system. Our experienced coaches will be on hand to give you a taster session. Absolutely no previous experience is required, however proficient bowlers are more than welcome.

We will supply all the equipment needed but you will require a thick pair of socks to wear on the bowling carpet. For people with disability there are playing aids and special wheelchairs for use on the rinks. Please note that there is free car parking at the club.

We need your help to make our next Indoor Open Day a big success and bring in new members to our club. This is particularly important due to the current difficult financial situation.
