Our Round Robin Tournament on 28 December 2025 was a resounding success!
The atmosphere was fantastic, and we saw a high level of competition across the board.
The event was incredibly popular, reaching our full capacity of 32 entries. In fact, the demand was so high that we unfortunately had to turn away several players who hadn’t pre-booked.
The tournament was organized into 2 groups of 4 teams with a group stage where every team played one another. While the original plan was for the top team from each group to head straight into a final, the enthusiasm on the day led to a slight change in schedule. By popular demand, we introduced an extra semi-final round.
The competition was fierce, and the games were close but our winners and runners-up were:
Winners: Martin Pavey, Hannah, Sue Lofthouse, and Eileen.
Runners-up: Graham, Merv, Lorraine, Karen G.
A total of £160 was generated, which was split evenly:
£80 was awarded to the winning team as prize money.
£80 was donated back to the club.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day so memorable.
It is hoped that next time the tournament is run we can make use of all rinks and involve more people.
