Our Summer Open Day will be held on Saturday 11 July 2026 both Indoors and Outdoors.
Qualified coaches will be on hand to give you some tips and a basic introduction to the game of bowls.

World Cup at Dorchester Bowls Club
All the England games at the World Cup will be shown in the bar.
Come along and cheer England along with a drink with fellow bowlers.
Ladies County Senior 4s Quarterfinals
On Sunday 24 May 2026 Bridport BC hosted the quarterfinals and semifinals of the Ladies’ County Senior 4s.
In the quarterfinals of the Ladies’ County Senior 4s Linda Hill, Karen Ellis, Shirley Bowley and Sue Jennings beat J.Bell, K.Best, K.Oakes, D.Fry (West Moors BC).
Walker Cup 2026
On Sunday 31 May 2026 Dorchester will host the South West Preliminary Round Robin of the Walker Cup 2026.
Teams Involved: Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, first games commence at 9:30

Hannah Edwards for England Under 18s
Congratulations to Hannah Edwards who has been selected as part of the England Under 18 squad day taking place at Victoria Park Leamington on the 7th June 2026.

County 4s Quarterfinals
On Sunday 17 May 2026 Dorchester BC hosted the quarterfinals and semifinals of the Men’s and Ladies’ County 4s.
In the quarterfinals of the Ladies’ County 4s Maureen Jones, Karen Ellis, Shirley Bowley and Sue Jennings were beaten by J.Walters, M.Ledingham, M.Jenkins, L.Willatts (Broadstone Wessex BC).
Club Summer Outdoor Friendly

In the National Pairs Nick and Martin were beaten by Phil Last and John Rednall (Ipswich & District IBC) 12-19 at the Nottingham on Sunday 12 April 2026 at 09:30.

Martin Puckett Qualifies for Scottish Open
Congratulations to Martin Puckett who won the Dolphin qualifier on Sunday 5 April 2026 for a place in the Ambassador Cruise Line 2026 Scottish International Open.
The Ambassador Cruise Line Scottish International Open takes place 26-29 October 2026, at West Lothian Indoor Bowling Club.
